Now that it’s in the hands of reviewers, we’re learning that the most insane part of the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk isn’t the fact that it’s the world’s most powerful production SUV. With 707 horsepower, 645 lb-ft of torque, and void of the off-road gear the brand is known for, it would seem the key to its mission is refinement.

How so? Take a full-throttle launch for example. Engage launch control, press down on the gas, and the supercharged HEMI roars to life. The tires, on the other hand, make barely a peep. There’s no dramatic chirp or spinning of the wheels. All you get is pure G-force in the 3.5-second path to sixty. While that might seem to defy the laws of physics, it’s a reality you’ll get to enjoy over and over again. To see the takeaway from Motorweek, check out the clip above.

The Trackhawk joins an already expansive family of Grand Cherokee models, and it might make the choice a tad more difficult for some. For assistance, contact our Morrilton, AR showroom with any questions or queries you may have about vetting one of our new Jeep models.
